The Law of Liberty — Part 1
Mat 23:1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,
Jesus taught this doctrine to the public.
Mat 23:2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat:
The scribes and Pharisees held positions in their religion to be Lawgivers, as Moses received The Law from God and taught it to the people.
Mat 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
So what they teach in The Law, the people should listen to and obey. Our Lord said this only because certain of them were indeed ordained by God’s Law to hold their positions among the people, that is, the true descendants of Levi, who were dedicated to God’s Service and to God’s Law.
But Jesus also said that the people must never follow them according to their works or deeds in this world. Why? Because many of them were hypocrites that taught many things but did not obey them their own selves.
They were just “stage play actors,” pretending to be righteous Law abiding servants of The Most High, but the truth was that they were just a secret cult of lawless sinners.
Mat 23:4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
Their teaching laid “heavy burdens and grievous to be borne” upon the people, but they never lifted a finger to help anybody with their burdens. They put all of the people on a heavy guilt trip and never said a word to provide them any relief.
Mat 23:5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,
What they did in public was only “to be seen of men.” They did their ceremonies and rituals and made long prayers in public so that the people could watch them and believe that they were ordained to the Service of God.
“Phylacteries” were small wrappings of Scriptures around their wrists, which supposedly showed how all they thought about all day long was God’s Word. Oh, so religious. We are supposed to meditate on God’s Law during the day, but they just wore Scriptures as mere religious decorations. And they made frills at the bottoms of their robes to indicate they were righteous men in the community, robes like the Levitical priests wore.
Mat 23:6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
And of course they walked right up to the front of meeting places before everyone else present so that they could be seen by them, and always sat in the front seats of the churches, because they esteemed themselves to be “somebody special” in the assembly.
Mat 23:7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.
And they loved meeting members of the congregation out in public to hear them reverence them as “Teacher, teacher.”
Mat 23:8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
Jesus commanded us not to allow people call us “Teacher!” We have one Teacher, and that One is Christ Jesus. We are brothers and sisters in Christ, who is The Word of God made flesh Who dwelt among us and died for us to save us from our sins.
Mat 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
We are not even to call a flesh man our “father.” Now this may seem a hard precept to comprehend. Jesus said only “one is your Father, which is in heaven.” Therefore we are all the sons and daughters of God Most High. Now we must not transgress the commandment, “honor your father and mother.” But our Lord teaches a higher precept, that God in Heaven is our Father. Our earthly father sired our flesh body, but God created our soul.
Mat 23:10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
And call no man “lord,” because we have only one Lord, and that one is Jesus, The Messiah.
Mat 23:11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
We must esteem those who serve us in Christ as being the greatest among us. But The Lord’s Servants are here to serve us, who are the children of The Most High.
Mat 23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
If any man arrogantly exalts himself among men, he will be ashamed in the end. But if any man humbly submits to God’s Will, he shall be exalted in the end.
Whosoever has eyes to see and ears to hear, let him hear.
The Law of Liberty — Part 2
1Jn 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
Please consider how much our Father in Heaven loves us, such that He has called us His sons and daughters. And because God has called us His children, those who are lost in Satan’s world don’t know us, as though we were strange people, foreigners, not welcome among them. Why? Because those who are deceived by Satan do not know God.
1Jn 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
“Now we are the sons of God.” Consider this fact. The future is somewhat of a mystery. We know that Christ will return as promised and that when He appears on this earth, “we shall be like Him.” How will we be like Him? Because we will recognize Him for Who He really is, thus we will be like Him mentally. Contrast our ability to recognize Him with those deceived by Satan who cannot know Him. And consider how much God loves you, my friends, that you should know Him.
1Jn 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
If you have this hope of God’s love and promise that we should know Christ when He returns, then be self-disciplined, as our Lord is Self-Disciplined.
1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
Anyone who “sins” transgresses God’s Law. “Sin” is “the transgression of God’s Law.”
It does not matter what other people say. They can point their fingers and accuse us of wrongdoing, but only God declares what is right and what is wrong. People make up all kinds of religious sounding rules or laws. Don’t let men put you on a guilt trip, because there are many in this world who make their living by doing that very thing.
But also keep in mind, that certain things which men do not tell you are “sins,” just because they do not tell you, does not mean that they are not sins. Men will lead you straight to hell, my friends, especially religious men who pretend to be all righteous and holy, as though they are God’s Messengers on earth, but who in fact are just a bunch of con-artists, slick talkers who sway people to emotions and take their money, week after week.
How do we discern this fact and defend ourselves? By studying God’s Law for our own selves so that we can intelligently compare what “Thus saith The Lord” with what they say to the congregations.
1Jn 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
Christ came in The First Advent to “take away our sins.” How? By presenting His own flesh body as The Lamb of God, a Holy Sacrifice to atone for our sins. And our Lord did not sin and cannot sin.
1Jn 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
Everyone who remains faithful in Christ Jesus does not sin, thus lives a sinless life after their conversion. Anyone who commits sin has never recognized our Lord and does not know Him. Let this simple precept sink in real deep.
1Jn 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
We must never let anyone deceive us. If someone does the works of righteousness, then he is a righteous man or woman, even as Christ is righteous. That fact implies that they do not sin anymore. That means that they do not willfully transgress God’s Law anymore, because transgression of God’s Law is sin.
1Jn 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Anyone who commits sin willfully is “of the devil.” And this is a figurative saying, so consider it in that light. Why? Because The Devil transgressed God’s Law “from the beginning,” meaning way back in The First Earth Age, and also in this Second World in The Garden of Eden.
Our Lord and Savior came to “destroy the works of the devil.” He came to destroy “sinful works,” or behaviors, that is, to cause men and women to cease from their habitual sins, their transgressions of God’s Law. And He accomplished this through The New Covenant in His Own Blood, whereby God would give each of us a New Heart and New Mind in Christ Jesus, that is, The Heart and Mind of Christ. With His Mind in control of our bodies, it is absolutely impossible for us to commit willful sin!
1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
Many people in this world say, “I’m born again.” But they continue in sin, so they cannot be “born again.” Why? Because “whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin.” How? Because God’s Son (seed) dwells in them and they cannot transgress God’s Law. They are God’s Children now and have nothing to do with The Devil and his ways.
Whosoever has eyes to see and ears to hear, let him hear.
The Law of Liberty — Part 3
Psa 119:41 Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy word.
Our Father’s promises are certain, because it is impossible for God to lie.
Psa 119:42 So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.
The people who are lost in Satan’s deceitful world attack you verbally and otherwise. But you trust in God’s Word.
Psa 119:43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments.
May The Lord keep His Word close to your lips (mind), as long as you continue to hope in God’s Righteous Judgment.
Psa 119:44 So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.
In this way you will keep God’s Law continually throughout The Eternity.
Psa 119:45 And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.
And you will have perfect FREEDOM, because you seek The Lord’s Teaching.
Psa 119:46 I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.
When you are given The Tongues of Pentecost, you will speak against The Antichrist and against those ten kings who have power with him for that one “hour.” And in the final end, you will not be shamed.
Psa 119:47 And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.
You will be happy in God’s Commandments which you have loved.
Psa 119:48 My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.
You will raise your hands in praise to God and His Law which you have loved, and will consider His statutes.
Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
These verses refer to our Lord Christ Jesus when He came in The First Advent. The Holy Spirit or Mind was in Him because He was anointed to teach good news to the humble. Christ was sent to heal those with broken hearts, that is, those who had lost all hope. And He was sent to declare FREEDOM to those who had been enslaved by Satan, to declare that Satan’s prison had been opened and all of his prisoners could now escape.
Isa 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
Our Lord had been anointed to “proclaim the acceptable year of The Lord,” which was when He walked this earth and gave Himself as the propitiation for our sins. Note also that He came to proclaim “The Day of Vengeance,” which would be at the end of this world, and this would be a comfort to those who were humble.
Isa 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
In doing this, our Lord would give those who are humble in God’s Kingdom “beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for mental depression.” Why? So that they would be called “trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord,” so that God would be GLORIFIED. We are The Lord’s planting.
Whosoever has eyes to see and ears to hear, let him hear.
The Law of Liberty — Part 4
Lev 12:1-4 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean. And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised. And she shall then continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days; she shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled.
After a woman gives birth to a male, she will be unclean for forty-one days. Seven, plus one, plus thirty-three equals forty-one.
Lev 12:5 But if she bear a maid child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her separation: and she shall continue in the blood of her purifying threescore and six days.
After a woman gives birth to a female, she will be unclean for eighty days. Two weeks plus sixty-six days equals eighty.
Lev 12:6-8 And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest: Who shall offer it before the LORD, and make an atonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath born a male or a female. And if she be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for her, and she shall be clean.
So whether wealthy or poor, our Lord gave a time of rest and a procedure for a woman to follow in order to regain full cleanliness after childbirth so that she could return to fellowship in the congregation, and also to her husband’s loving arms. This law was given by God about four thousand years ago. Please consider His Wisdom.
Male babies tend to die in childbirth or soon thereafter more often than female babies. They also tend to be weaker and more likely to die in the first few years of life than females. It was unlawful for the husband to touch his wife again until after she had fulfilled the time of her uncleanness, twice as long after a girl baby than after a boy baby.
If she had had a male baby then there was a high likelihood she would have more male babies than females, and if she had a female baby there was a high likelihood she would have more female babies than males. So waiting only forty-one days before she became impregnated again after bearing a son in general increased the number of males in the population. And waiting eighty days, twice as long, after bearing a daughter before she became impregnated again slightly decreased the number of females. The result was that there were the same number of boys and girls among the children of the people, which was a good balance.
Lev 11:31-32 These are unclean to you among all that creep: whosoever doth touch them, when they be dead, shall be unclean until the even. And upon whatsoever any of them, when they are dead, doth fall, it shall be unclean; whether it be any vessel of wood, or raiment, or skin, or sack, whatsoever vessel it be, wherein any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the even; so it shall be cleansed.
People did not know about bacteria and viruses four thousand years ago, but our Father did. And He taught us not to touch anything that a dead thing touched, “whether it be any vessel of wood, or raiment, or skin, or sack, whatsoever vessel it be,” until we wash it with water and wait until the next day. Then it would be clean.
Lev 11:33-36 And every earthen vessel, whereinto any of them falleth, whatsoever is in it shall be unclean; and ye shall break it. Of all meat which may be eaten, that on which such water cometh shall be unclean: and all drink that may be drunk in every such vessel shall be unclean. And every thing whereupon any part of their carcase falleth shall be unclean; whether it be oven, or ranges for pots, they shall be broken down: for they are unclean, and shall be unclean unto you. Nevertheless a fountain or pit, wherein there is plenty of water, shall be clean: but that which toucheth their carcase shall be unclean.
A fountain or well of plenty of water, or a stream or river, would still be clean, except what touches the carcass. Stay away from that.
Lev 11:37 And if any part of their carcase fall upon any sowing seed which is to be sown, it shall be clean.
Seed for sowing crops would be okay. And we know that bacteria on the outside of seed will not be transmitted into the crop itself when it is planted and has grown into mature plants.
Lev 11:38-40 But if any water be put upon the seed, and any part of their carcase fall thereon, it shall be unclean unto you. And if any beast, of which ye may eat, die; he that toucheth the carcase thereof shall be unclean until the even. And he that eateth of the carcase of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: he also that beareth the carcase of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.
So the major point is that we should be very careful about dead things, that we not touch them nor let their dead bodies touch our food. If that happens, we must clean our tools and utensils with water in order to continue using them. And if their dead bodies touch our food, we must throw it out and not eat it. This law was given four thousand years ago, a long time before man would invent the early microscope to discover microscopic creatures and viruses that invade our bodies making us sick and even die.
Lev 11:41-44 And every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth shall be an abomination; it shall not be eaten. Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon all four, or whatsoever hath more feet among all creeping things that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not eat; for they are an abomination. Ye shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creepeth, neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled thereby. For I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Only the locust family of insects are clean to eat, such as the grasshopper. But of the unclean insects and other multi-legged things like spiders and worm-like things, we must not eat them nor let them touch our food or our tools or utensils. They will make us sick.
Did you know that the cock-roach carries more than fifty parasites, harmful bacteria, and viruses that infect humans? When a roach crawls over our food, many thousands or even millions of microscopic creatures are left in a nasty trail over it. Most Americans cringe when they see a roach and take quick action to insure their kitchen and house do not become infested. This almost instinctive response to avoid roaches is not shared by most pagans in this world. Some pagans even love to eat maggots and termites and snails and worms, but they also tend to die relatively young, as in their thirties.
Atheists and agnostics may think perhaps aliens from outer space came to earth to teach God’s People four thousand years ago about sound population management and to warn of the microscopic dangers in the biological world invisible to the naked eye to explain the appearance of Ancient Wisdom such as this. But our God declares His Own Name to us! Why? Because He loves us and desires that we be healthy and live long lives.
Whosoever has eyes to see and ears to hear, let him hear.
