A Calling Out — Part 1
Isa 55:1-2 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
Our Lord is Calling us Out of the World: Come to The Living Waters, The Word of God. You don’t need any money; it is given freely. Just come and take The Bread of Life and The Wine of The New Covenant.
Isa 55:3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
Listen to Our Heavenly Father and you will find mercy and gain Eternal Life.
Isa 55:4-5 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people. Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.
The Holy One of Israel is Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah.
Isa 55:6-7 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Repent of transgression, and reject unclean thoughts, and turn your heart to The Lord. His mercy endures forever..
Isa 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Our Father thinks on a much higher level than we can, and His thoughts are far beyond our comprehension.
Isa 55:10-11 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
God’s Word declares what was not and causes it to come into existence.
Isa 55:12-13 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
Whosoever has eyes to see and ears to hear, let him hear.
A Calling Out — Part 2
Isa 54:1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.
Women are often symbols of religion in the scriptures, sometimes in the negative sense referring to idolatry and sometimes in the positive sense referring to sincere devotion to The Lord. Two women are described in this verse, one who is barren and another who is married with children.
The barren woman is also described as “desolated” which is from “shaw-mame'” and means “to stun (or intransitively grow numb), that is, devastate or (figuratively) stupefy (both usually in a passive sense).”
Why should the barren woman sing with joy? How is it possible for a woman who has never given birth to end up with more children than a woman who has given birth?
Isa 54:2-3 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
The Lord declares that this barren woman will have so many children she will need more space, a much larger house for them to dwell in. And she is also Promised to Inherit the Gentiles, All The Nations, All The Tribes of Mankind.
Isa 54:4-5 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more. For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
Though she is a widow and is not now married, obviously in a spiritual sense, she will forget her humiliation from being undesired. Note that in old times women longed to bear children, because they were the evidence of their virtue and value in the community.
For this woman, God Most High has declared Himself to now be her Betrothed Husband, even Christ Jesus, The Messiah, The God of The Earth.
(Note that Satan is the god of this world which will soon pass away, but does not have dominion over the earth.)
Isa 54:6-8 For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God. For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.
The Lord has now Called Her, even though she was not accepted in her youth, and The Lord even turned His back on her for a little while, but now He will show her His Mercy and Eternal Kindness.
Isa 54:9-10 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.
And The Lord swears an oath, a Covenant between Him and her, that never will He be angry with her again. And His Covenant is Eternal.
Isa 54:11-12 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires. And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.
Our Lord uses the analogy of The Temple in Jerusalem to describe how He will adorn her to make her most beautiful, thus emphasizing the fact that this woman represents True Religion.
Isa 54:13 And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.
All of her children will be taught about The Lord, and naturally about His Law, and they will dwell in lasting peace.
Isa 54:14-15 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.
By the Righteousness of God’s Law she will be placed on a sure foundation, and she will have nothing to fear because no one will be a threat. But if anyone dares threaten her, he will be destroyed.
Isa 54:16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
Note that Satan is The Waster and The Destroyer. Our Lord did create Lucifer (Satan) in The First World, but he started out being perfect, and then later went bad when he became arrogant.
Isa 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
This woman and her promised children are called “The Servants of The Lord.” And their righteousness is not of their own but is The Righteousness of God Himself.
Whosoever has eyes to see and ears to hear, let him hear.
A Calling Out — Part 3
Lev 1:1 And the LORD called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,
“And The Lord Called…” The word “called” is from the Hebrew “kaw-raw'” which means “to call out to.”
Leviticus is The Book of The Calling Out, where The Lord taught the children of Israel The Commandments, Laws, Statutes, and Ordinances.
The Ordinances taught them how to atone for their sins through the blood sacrifice of innocent animals, and how to show their thankfulness for all the good things that The Lord had given them through their free will offerings. The Temple Services and sacrifices and offerings were administered by a priesthood selected from only one tribe, the tribe of Levi, beginning with Aaron, the brother of Moses, who was the first High Priest ordained to serve the Tabernacle.
Ordinances were explicit according to each type of transgression of The Law and to each type of uncleanness that might defile the people such that they had to be quarantined. And failing to perform the prescribed procedures and make the prescribed offering in each case would be in itself sinful.
When we consider all of the blood sacrifices that The Lord specified as acceptable for sin, one thing that is obvious is that Sin can only be atoned for with Innocent Blood. Thus our minds are impressed with the fact that Sin is very Sinful, and is not a light matter. It always brings Death.
And when we consider all of the Laws and Statutes our Lord gave us to adhere to, one thing is obvious, that The Lord wants us to be nice to each other, to show compassion for each other, to help each other when in need.
Lev 19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.
The Temple Services and Offerings were merely shadows of what our Father truly wanted from His people, even their love. Because The Lord’s Divine Plan of Salvation promised to provide a Messiah, an Anointed King and Savior. But He would not come for about fifteen hundred years.
So for the next fifteen hundred years the people and their generations were required to get into the habit of following God’s Law to the letter and giving sacrifices and offerings to make amends and also to give thanks.
But far better than following a rote procedure to serve God would be a day when the people would have the mind to obey The Lord from the heart and to show their thankfulness daily in their prayers from the heart rather than by some memorized prescribed ritual.
Hos 6:6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
The word “mercy” is not easily translated into English, and is from “kheh’-sed” and means “kindness; by implication (towards God) piety; rarely (by opprobrium) reproof, or (subjectively) beauty.”
So this word means something higher than any one word we can think of. The best translation then must be “Love,” in a sense, and that from a father to a son or daughter, and from a son or daughter to a father.
The Lord never desired our animal sacrifices. Such things were merely shadows or exercises to teach the people how to serve Him from the heart. The Lord wanted His people to desire to seek knowledge of Him, to learn to Know Him on a personal level, to perceive how much He loved them. So finally, The Messiah came into the world, and He was declared to be The Lord Himself born into a flesh body just as we are and Who dwelt among us to teach us a better way to serve God, from The Heart.
Joh 19:16-18 Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.
Our Lord was crucified, even sacrificed for our atonement, so that upon repentance our past transgressions would be forgiven us, so that we could return to God with our whole heart and with a clear conscience and a new beginning with our relationship with God.
Our Lord’s Self-Sacrifice to Atone for all of our transgressions once for all time has demonstrated His Divine Love for each one of us. In turn our willingness to obey Him and to ask for His offer of a New Covenant between Him and us is our demonstration of our love for Him. This then is the fulfillment of that “mercy,” that Love that our Lord desired of us from the beginning. God is Love, and Loves us, and He desires our Love for Him.
Whosoever has eyes to see and ears to hear, let him hear.
A Calling Out — Part 4
Rev 18:1-2 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
The name “Babylon” is from a Greek word derived from the Hebrew “baw-bel'” which means “confusion.” Therefore this is The City of Confusion which encompasses the world and which will be destroyed. We know from earlier references to it in Revelation that it represents False Christianity, as symbolized by The Great Whore.
Note that unclean birds symbolize evil spirits, so this “city” will become overrun by Satanic Demonics near the end.
Rev 18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
The Great Whore of Christianity has always been very popular among all the rulers of this world, and among all of the rich and powerful men. And she flourished by working in agreement with their wickedness.
Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Our Lord is Calling Us Out of false religion in These Last Days, “Come out of her, My people!” Therefore many of The Lord’s people are within her realm of influence, at least mentally. But they must finally Come Out of Her at this time, that is, come to their senses to realize that she is a fake, an imposter, and is not faithful to The Word of God.
And why must we come out of her? So that we are not held guilty of all of the sins she has been and is committing all over this world.
Rev 18:5-6 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.
She will one day be judged. Don’t you also remain in her and be judged according to her transgressions. Come Out of Her!
Whosoever has eyes to see and ears to hear, let him hear.
