Our Father Hates Fly-Away Doctrine
Eze 13:16-17 To wit, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord GOD. Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them,
Beware of false prophets who preach peace when there is no peace for the lawless ones.
Note that women are used figuratively for religion and for preachers. We must be on guard of those who preach out of their own imaginations, instead of teaching God’s Word.
So those “daughters” referred to here were in fact “false prophets.”
Eze 13:18 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?
The word “woe” is derived from the Hebrew, “haw,” which means, “ah! expressing grief.”
So “woe” is equivalent to a curse, and in this case it is upon those “women” or false prophets who “cover over” or hide God’s outstretched loving arms offering Salvation through their repentance. Those liars just seek to gain command and control of The Lord’s People.
The Lord mocks them asking rhetorically, “Will you hunt souls? Can you save souls and give them Eternal Life?” Of course they can’t. False prophets cannot save anybody!
Eze 13:19 And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?
The word, “pollute,” is from the Hebrew, “khaw-lal’,” which is best translated in this context to, “(by implication) to wound, to dissolve; figuratively to profane (a person, place or thing).”
The false prophets profane The Lord and confuse people in order to make money. But they are not righteous themselves and do not know the way to Eternal Life. They justify the wicked and promise them Eternal Life, but condemn the righteous, those who trust in The Lord, by all of their lies which they say to deceive the people.
Eze 13:20 Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.
The notion of “pillows” is figurative for “providing a soft place” for the people to rest in their sins, in spite of their fear of God’s Judgment.
And those false prophets were going way too far in their false doctrines, by promising the people that they will just fly away from all the trouble (Egypt is sending a vast army to save us!), so that they would suddenly escape God’s Judgment Written long ago that they would all go into slavery if they became apostate.
Deu 4:23-24 Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee. For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
The First Covenant was The Law that the people swore an oath to obey.
Deu 4:26-27 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed. And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you.
The Lord had sworn that if Israel disobeyed His Law and fell away into idolatry that He would destroy their nation and scatter them among all of the Gentiles of the world. But those arrogant self-ordained “prophets” were telling the people that no calamity was coming; it wasn’t really going to happen.
Eze 13:21-22 Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the LORD. Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:
They have condemned the righteous who teach that we must first repent and return to God’s Law in order to receive God’s Grace, and in turn they have justified the lawless ones by promising that they will receive Eternal Life even without repentance.
Eze 13:23 Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
So much for the empty headed imaginations of false Jews of old time and and of false Christians today, because they are on the wrong side of this conflict between Lucifer (Satan) and God Most High. We have God’s Judgments against the false prophets as examples.
Jer 23:15-17 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD. They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.
Just as the false prophets lied in old times, modern day false preachers lie to the people today. Note that The End has already been written. Jesus taught us how this world will end, with Satan being cast out of Heaven and coming into this world pretending to be Jesus Christ returned. It Is Written. But many antichrists claim that Christians will all ESCAPE and not be tested by the First Tribulation, The Tribulation of the Antichrist. But they lie!
1Th 5:1-3 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
Paul explains that we should already know how this world will end, because we know that The Lord will return unexpectedly. Then he prophesies specifically, “when they shall be saying, peace and safety, that’s when their destruction will come.” He refers to the people of the world and what they will be saying and believing.
2Th 2:1-2 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
Paul begs us regarding our Lord’s Return and our gathering to Him that we not be deceived by anything, not even by some interpretation of any epistle or Bible verse, that The Day of The Lord has already come.
2Th 2:3-4 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
The “falling away” is The Great Apostasy, or falling away from belief in The Bible. And that “son of perdition” is Satan, The Antichrist, who will eventually go into Perdition. “Perdition” means “death of the soul” at The Judgment. And what will he do? The Antichrist will CLAIM TO BE GOD!
2Th 2:8-10 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
That Wicked One, The Antichrist, That Old Serpent, Satan, The Devil, will be able to deceive the whole world with his supernatural powers and miracles and lies. He will deceive all of the lawless ones who are destined to die without Salvation, because they refused to love The Truth of God’s Word so that they could be saved and partake of The First Resurrection.
2Th 2:11-12 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Since they have refused to value God’s Word in their lives, God sends them overwhelming delusion to believe a horrible lie. And The Lord will do this so that everyone who has rejected God’s Word and lived in sin will be damned!
Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
When The Antichrist goes into the Temple in Jerusalem and declares himself to be God, to be Jesus Christ returned, that will be the Abomination of the Desolator, which will be The First Tribulation. But note that most people of this world will not have any trouble, because Satan comes pretending to be The Prince of Peace. That’s when “they shall be saying, peace and safety,” that Paul warned us about. So only God’s Elect will suffer hardship.
Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
Daniel was given a seven year period for the time of The Antichrist. Jesus informs us that that period has been shortened, because no man in the flesh could endure that much deception, and even The Very Elect would eventually be deceived.
Mat 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
Jesus explains, if anybody tells you that Christ is over there or over here, don’t you dare believe it!
Mat 24:24-25 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before.
Jesus continues that there will definitely be many antichrists, many false preachers, and eventually one will come, The Antichrist, who will perform miracles so deceptive that even The Very Elect would be deceived by them (if it were possible).
Mat 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
If anyone tells you, Look, Jesus has returned and is out in the desert teaching. Do NOT BELIEVE IT! Or if anyone says, Christ is praying in the Temple. Do NOT BELIEVE IT!
Mat 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
When Christ returns, it will be an event so sudden it will be like lightning streaking across the sky all over the world.
1Co 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
When Christ returns to establish His Kingdom, Heaven will be on earth, and flesh and blood bodies cannot be in The Kingdom of God.
1Co 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
Not everyone will die in the flesh before Christ returns. Many will still be alive at that time and must be changed from a flesh body.
1Co 15:52-53 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
Everyone alive in a flesh body at that moment will instantly, in the twinkle of an eye, be changed into their immortal angelic body thereby leaving their flesh body lying dead on the ground beside them.
It is important to understand an historical fact. In 1830 in Port Glasgow, Scotland, there was a fourteen year old girl named, Margaret McDonald, who had recently started attending a local church. She got very sick, and one night she became delirious with a high fever and started babbling meaninglessly. She claimed she had a vision of an angel coming down from Heaven, and at first she was terrified, but as it approached her she felt enraptured with joy.
From this young girl’s illness and so-called vision, a few con artists who made their living selling religion turned it into a so-called “theological discovery,” which they called, Rapture Doctrine and Speaking in Tongues (Meaningless Babbling). Those antichrists never bothered to tell anybody about Margaret McDonald who was the origin of those ideas. Because if they did admit the source, no one would believe it. So in secrecy they spread their new doctrine in various places over the decades and found that escapism easily became very popular. Finally in the late 1800s The Brethren brought Rapture Doctrine to the U.S. where it began to spread here as well.
Whenever some preacher tells you that you don’t need to study the Book of Revelation and you don’t have to worry about all of the demonic trouble coming into this world according to Biblical Prophecy, because you’re going to be gone, don’t believe it! Even if they say, “We’re all going to just fly away when Christ returns and go to Heaven before The Tribulation comes,” DO NOT BELIEVE IT! Because false preachers call this doctrine “Rapture” which is a big lie, a whopper! Don’t believe it, my friends. It teaches people to run to worship the First “Christ” that comes to the earth, and that one will be THE ANTICHRIST!
Remember Paul’s warning to us:
2Th 2:11-12 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
