A Choice between Life and Death
Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
The word “new” is from the Greek “kahee-nos'” which means “new (especially in freshness” but is not in regard to “age,” so it is best translated to “rejuvenated or renewed.”
At the end of The Millennial Reign of Christ, The Most High will execute The Great White Throne Judgment. Then He “will make all things renewed” as In The Beginning.
Rev 21:6-7 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
“Alpha and Omega” means in the Greek “The First and The Last.”
Christ Jesus is The First and The Last, and The Beginning and The Ending. He Promises to give us The Water of Life. And He Promises that all of us who overcome the deception of Satan will inherit Eternal Life, and The Lord will be our God, and we shall be His Sons. This is THE PROMISE OF THE NEW COVENANT.
Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
But those who do not overcome will be destroyed in The Lake of Fire, which is called, The Second Death. Those who will cease to exist include these explicitly listed.
The word “fearful” is from “di-los'” and in the context means “faithless.”
The word “unbelieving” is from “ap’-is-tos” and means “disbelieving or untrustworthy.”
The word “abominable” is from “bdel-oos’-so” and means “to stink, to be disgusting, that is, (by implication) detestable (especially of idolatry).” This word can refer to homosexuals, which were prominent participants of idol worship in that they offered their sexual services to worshipers at the idol temples. In the figurative sense it means idolaters.
The word “murderers” is from “fon-yooce'” and means “a murderer (always of criminal [or at least intentional] homicide.”
The word “whoremongers” is from “por’-nos” and means “a (male) prostitute (as venal), that is, (by analogy) a debauchee (libertine).” This word refers to both male and female prostitutes.
The word “sorcerers” is from “far-mak-yoos'” and means “a druggist (“pharmacist”) or poisoner, that is, (by extension) a magician.”
The word “idolaters” is from “i-do-lol-at’-race” and means ” an image (servant or) worshipper (literally or figuratively).”
The word “liars” is from “psyoo-dace'” and means “untrue, that is, erroneous, deceitful, wicked.”
The Moffatt translation is of modern English, so we will read it as a second witness:
Then he who was seated on the throne said, “Lo, I make all things new.” And he said, “Write this: ‘these words are trustworthy and genuine.'”
Then he said, “All is over! I am the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end. I will let the thirsty drink of the fountain of the water of Life without price. The conqueror shall obtain this, and I will be his God, and he shall be my son; but as for the craven, the faithless, the abominable, as for murderers, the immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and liars of all kinds — their lot is the lake that blazes with fire and brimstone. Which is the second death.”
The purpose of The Gospel of The New Covenant is to enable each of us to partake in The First Resurrection. Because the Millennium will be The Second Tribulation, a very difficult time for those who do not overcome during this time of testing.
But even for those who do not overcome now, there will be a final opportunity at the end of The Millennium to partake in The Second Resurrection.
Our Father loves all of us and desires that we live and not die. The Lord gives us a Choice between Life and Death. Choose Life, my friends.
Whosoever has eyes to see and ears to hear, let him hear.
