The Power of The Blood Lesson II
The Power of The Blood — Part 5

Psa 22:1-7  To the chief Musician upon Aijeleth Shahar, A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent. But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded. But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people. All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

This is exactly how they treated Jesus when He was sentenced to crucifixion.

Psa 22:8  He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.

This is exactly what those hypocrites were saying to mock Jesus with while He hung on the cross.

Psa 22:9-16  But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts. I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother’s belly. Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help. Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round. They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion. I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels. My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death. For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

They pierced our Lord’s hands and feet with iron nails when they crucified Him on the cross, which fulfilled this prophesy.

Psa 22:17-18  I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me. They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

The Roman soldiers divided up the cloth of His clothing among themselves, but had to gamble for His undergarment which was seamless. Again, this fulfilled Prophesy.

Psa 22:19-26  But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me. Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog. Save me from the lion’s mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns. I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee. Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel. For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard. My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him. The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

The Lord promised to give those who are humble before Him, that is, reverent, Eternal Life through the fulfillment of the prophesies regarding Christ’s crucifixion.

Psa 22:27-29  All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. For the kingdom is the LORD’S: and he is the governor among the nations. All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.

No one can save his own soul by his own works. Only The Lord Jesus Christ, The Only Begotten Son was able to do that, and recall that His Name was called, “Emanuel,” which means “God with us.” Jesus was literally God walking this earth among men.

Psa 22:30-31  A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation. They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.

Dr. Bullinger states: “He hath done this = It is finished. Compare Joh_19:30. Thus concluding the Psalm. Compare the beginning. Hebrew. ’asah, to accomplish or finish, as in 2Ch_4:11.”

When Jesus cried out with His last breath on the cross, He declared, IT IS FINISHED! This was the very end of Psalm 22.

Mark 15:36-37  And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down. And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.

The last Prophesy was fulfilled Just before Jesus died, which finished all Prophesy about The Messiah, and that is the moment Jesus declared IT IS FINISHED.

Psa 69:20-21  Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none. They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

Mark 15:38-41  And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom. And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God. There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome; (Who also, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and ministered unto him;) and many other women which came up with him unto Jerusalem.

The veil of the Inner Sanctuary of The Temple, The Holy of Holies, was torn in two, thereby signifying that every believer in Jesus and His Sacrifice for us could now enter into the very presence of God The Father.

The Power of The Blood — Part 6

Mark 15:42-44  And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath, Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus. And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.

The Passover Day would begin at sunset on The Day of Preparation, which was the day they sacrificed The Passover Lamb, which ended at about 6:00 pm. So before that time, Joseph of Arimathaea, the Uncle of Jesus, the brother of His mother Mary, went to Pilate and obtained by next of kin rights to take the body of Jesus and bury Him.

Mark 15:45-47  And when he knew it of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph. And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre. And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he was laid.

Isa 53:7-9  He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

Joseph of Arimathaea was a rich man, and he provided his own unused tomb to bury the body of Christ. Which fulfilled this Prophesy, “and with the rich in his death.”

Mark 16:1  And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.

The day after the Preparation Day was the High Sabbath of The Passover, and the next day was the Weekly Sabbath.

Mark 16:2-4  And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.

At sunrise, or about 6:00 am, the women came to the tomb and found that the stone closing the sepulcher had already been rolled away.

Mark 16:5-7  And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.

Jesus had already told His Disciples that after He rose from the dead, they should meet Him in Galilee. And the Angel is telling the women to go tell them what He had said.

Mark 16:8  And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid.

The women went to The Disciples and told them what they had seen and about the Angel who told them that Jesus had risen and that they should go to Galilee to meet up with Him. Then the women no doubt went back to the tomb to look around.

Mark 16:9-11  Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept. And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.

Jesus then appeared to Mary Magdalene who went back to The Disciples to tell them that she had seen Jesus on the way, but they wouldn’t believe it.

Mark 16:12-13  After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country. And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them.

Then Jesus appeared to two of The Disciples who went back to the other Disciples and told them, but they still didn’t believe.

Mark 16:14  Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.

Then Jesus appeared to all of The Disciples.

Mark 16:15-16  And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

The word “saved” is from the Greek “sode’-zo” and means “safe; to save, that is, deliver or protect (literally or figuratively).”

The word “damned” is from “kat-ak-ree’-no” which means “to judge against, that is, sentence: – condemn, damn.”

Mark 16:17  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues

The word “tongues” is from “gloce’-sah” means “the tongue; by implication a language (specifically one naturally unacquired).” This word simply means “foreign language.”

Since The Disciples would be traveling all over the world to teach The Gospel, they would need to learn new languages as they went from country to country.

Mark 16:18  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Both of these first two actions are figurative. “Serpents” represent the descendants of Cain, that is, The Kenites, but Jesus has taught His Disciples to recognize them and to be on guard. And “deadly things” are false doctrines that can deceive most people. But with The Holy Spirit which The Disciples would soon receive, they will have Spiritual Discernment and will not be deceived.

Mark 16:19-20  So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Then Jesus ascended up into Heaven.

Act 1:1-5  The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

Jesus continued to teach His Disciples for 40 days after His Resurrection. He commanded them to wait for The Promise of The New Covenant, which was The Promise of The Father.

Then Jesus ascended into Heaven.

Eze 36:24-28  For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

God Promised to give us a New Spirit, or Mind, and a New Heart, or Knower, and to cause us to perfectly obey His Laws and Statutes and Judgements. My friends, to accomplish this conversion requires Divine Power, even Supernatural Dynamite!

Act 1:6-8  When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The word “power” is from “doo’-nam-is” which means “force (literally or figuratively); specifically miraculous power (usually by implication a miracle itself).” This word means “miraculous power” and is the word where we get our modern word “DYNAMITE!”

Act 1:9-11  And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Ten days later on the Day of Pentecost, The Disciples received The Holy Spirit.

The Power of The Blood — Part 7

Heb 4:1  Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

Christ Jesus is our Sabbath Rest. The weekly Sabbath was a shadow of the Eternal Rest awaiting us at the appearance of The Promised Messiah, Jesus, The Christ.

Heb 4:2  For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

Paul is contrasting the willingness to believe among us who do believe with the unbelief of the Israelites who proved to be too stubborn to believe.

Heb 4:3  For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Our Father completed all of His Works at the end of The First Earth Age and at The Beginning of His Rejuvenation of The Earth and formation of This Second Earth Age. We are witnesses of His Divine Plan of Salvation for all of His Children as it unfolds before our eyes even today according to His Word.

Heb 4:4-8  For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

The word “Jesus” refers to Joshua in The Old Testament, who led The Children of Israel into The Promised Land. But Joshua did not lead the people into God’s Rest, because they rebelled and fell into apostasy, and The Lord scattered them among all of the Gentiles for their unrepentant sin. So The Divine Rest was reserved until after Christ came and paid the Price for our Salvation.

Heb 4:9 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

The New Covenant in The Blood of Christ Jesus is our entrance into God’s Promised Rest. And once we enter it, we no longer live by our works.

Heb 4:11-13  Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

The word “quick” is from the Greek “dzah’-o” which means “to live (literally or figuratively).” The Word of God is Eternally Alive.

The word “powerful” is from “en-er-gace'” which means “active, operative.” This word is where we get our modern word “energy.”

The word “sharper” is from “tom-o’-ter-os” which means “to cut as if by a single stroke.” The Word of God “slices right through soul and spirit.”

Heb 4:14-16  Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

The word “profession” is from “hom-ol-og-ee’-ah” which means “acknowledgment.”

Heb 6:1  Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

The word “perfection” is from “tel-i-ot’-ace” which means “(the state of) completeness (mentally or morally).”

Heb 6:2-6  Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

After we believe, repent of our past sins, and enter into The New Covenant and receive The Promise of The Holy Spirit, we must never commit Willful Sin, because that would be Apostasy against The Word of God. Anyone who dares to do that will never be able to repent again, because they will have blasphemed The Only Begotten Son of God and His Sacrifice for our sins.

Heb 6:7-8  For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

Anyone who Blasphemes The Word of God after gaining full knowledge of Christ by the indwelling of The Holy Spirit in him, can only wait until his punishment in The Lake of Fire on the Day of Judgement.

Heb 6:9-12  But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises

The word “inherit” is from “klay-ron-om-eh’-o” and means “to be an heir to (literally or figuratively).”

Heb 8:1-2  Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

Everything that The Lord commanded Moses to construct for the Tabernacle and to enact for sin offerings and free will offerings, and for the Sabbaths and for the Feast Days, were shadows of much greater things, even things in Heaven, and shadows of things to be in The Third Earth Age, The Eternity.

Heb 8:3-5  For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer. For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law: Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

The Lord had shown Moses things that were even back in The First Earth Age and which for now are in Heaven with the angels.

Heb 8:6-7  But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

The First Covenant which was The Covenant of The Law was deficient in that it could not supply what people lack, that is, the heart and mind to obey perfectly. So The Lord provided for The Second Covenant, The New Covenant Sealed by The Blood of Christ.

Heb 8:8-10  For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

The New Covenant Promises to Put God’s Laws right into our minds and in our hearts so that we will obey them and truly be God’s People and He would truly be our God. Obedience is what separates God’s People from all other people in this world.

Heb 8:11-12  And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Everyone who enters into The New Covenant will know God’s laws and will naturally obey them, because The Holy Spirit, or Mind, of Christ Jesus will dwell in them, and Jesus lived in the flesh without sin. And herein we truly enter into The Lord’s Rest which He has prepared for us since The Foundation of This Second World. This, my friends, is one of the great mysteries only now revealed in The Last Days.

Heb 8:13  In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Once we finish Elementary School, our Education in The Law, we no longer think about it much, because then our Education advances beyond basic reading, writing, and arithmetic, which I use here as similitudes, to learn the mastery of even much higher subjects, even those beyond this world.

Whosoever has eyes to see and ears to hear, let him hear.
